On April 28, we observe Workers Memorial Day to remember those who have suffered and died on the job, and to renew the fight for safe jobs.

The Capital District Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO and the Northeast NY Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health along with our affiliated unions and community partners put together this video commemorating all the workers who died in the Capital Region, and to honor all the essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 efforts.

This year we come together virtually to call for action on hazards that cause unnecessary injury, illness and death. We will stand united against the ongoing attacks on workers’ rights and protections, and demand that elected officials put working people’s well-being above corporate interests. We will fight for the right of every worker to a safe job until that promise is fulfilled!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to access the video. Our hard working brothers and sisters dedicate themselves to their job each and every day and deserve to return home safely to their loved ones at night. Please pledge with us to fight for safe jobs, economic security, opportunity, and a better life for all because workplace safety should be a right for every worker!
