On Wednesday, August 26, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York are teaming up with community organizations to address food insecurity with a mass food distribution in Hoosick Falls, NY.

The food distribution, or “drive-thru pantry,” is a part of Catholic Charities’ mobile outreach initiative, “CC MOVE,” an effort to provide supplemental and emergency food in areas with limited access to services at time when many are struggling. Food items provided by the Regional Food Bank will be pre-packaged by volunteers from partnering organizations, including the Capital District Area Labor Federation, the Hoosick Falls Teachers' Association, HACA, and the Rensselaer County District Attorney.

Distribution will begin at Hoosick Falls Central School at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26. The distribution is open to the public and no pre-registration is required.

In order to maintain appropriate safety and social distancing, there will be two distribution lines: a drive-through line and a walk-in line.

Volunteers needed at 8:00 am
